Heat pumps are innovative dual-function systems that can both heat and cool your home. They work by transferring thermal energy from a source (either the air or the ground) to your home, depending on the season
In Heating Mode
During the winter, a heat pump extracts heat from the outdoor air, even in cold temperatures, and concentrates it to warm your home. This process is significantly more efficient than traditional electric resistance heating
In Cooling Mode
In the summer, a heat pump reverses the process, absorbing heat from inside your home and releasing it outdoors, providing cool and comfortable air circulation

Heat pumps can significantly reduce your heating and cooling costs compared to traditional systems.
Year-Round Comfort

Straight answers from a family-owned shop in Centennial. Still stuck? Call and ask.
Do heat pumps actually work in Colorado?
Yes. Cold-climate heat pumps have improved substantially and carry most of a Front Range heating season, typically paired with a furnace or electric backup for the deepest cold. Our dry climate and moderate winter lows suit them better than most people assume.
What rebates are available on heat pumps in Colorado?
This is currently the best-incentivized equipment on the market here. Xcel Energy rebates of up to $10,000 are available depending on the system and efficiency tier, and there are federal credits on top. Details: Colorado heat pump rebates and deadlines.
Heat pump or gas furnace which should I choose?
It comes down to your electric and gas rates, the age of your existing equipment, and whether you also need cooling. A heat pump does both jobs in one system. Full comparison: heat pump vs furnace in Colorado.
Can a heat pump replace my air conditioner too?
Yes, and that is a large part of the appeal. A heat pump cools exactly as an air conditioner does in summer and reverses to heat in winter, so one system covers both and one replacement covers both.
Do I need to keep my furnace if I install a heat pump?
Usually it becomes backup heat in a dual-fuel setup rather than being removed. That configuration gives you heat pump efficiency through most of the year and furnace output on the coldest nights.
